Kara grew up in the rainy Pacific Northwest and felt a call to ministry early in her life. She was a very active member of her youth group, attended Sunday School and youth group weekly, yearly Spring Break mission trips to Mexico, was a counselor each summer at church camp and VBS. She attended undergrad at George Fox University, earning a BA in Biblical Studies and Christian Ministries. She also has Masters in Biblical and Theological Studies from Western Seminary in Portland. She loves the rain, waffles, and coffee.

Dan was born in and grew up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. While there was some moving around in Texas and Missouri before the age of 5, 1st grade through university was in the same Oklahoma town. His family was always involved in church attending and serving in either Nazarene or Wesleyan congregations. Growing up in the church, he helped out in almost every area of church ministry. He did Biblical and Pastoral Studies at Oklahoma Wesleyan University and worked in a Wesleyan church in Ponca City, Oklahoma as an assistant pastor. Outside interests include reading, sports, and board games.

Dan and Kara have been married for nearly 6 years. They enjoy playing games together, discussing church history, and taking walks. Dan and Kara are very excited to be joining the community of Bucklin, Kansas and serving as pastors.
